Intro to our 134 year old project (home)

Our all consuming- most recent purchase! In April- we bought our first home! The house hunt started in November of last year. It was quite the emotional rollar coaster as I tend to get a little emotionally attached. A cozy home is a big deal to me since its where ill spend a majority of my time even during the work day! I knew I could never fall in love with a brand new house so we sought out looking for character that also came with structural integrity and good bones!

We found it in our 2 story in Maxwell… a tiny little town where my parents farmland is! A 2 minute drive from my garden, our animals, favorite date night spot, and hunting opportunities! We signed the papers from the top of a mountain in Switzerland (how fitting) and couldn’t wait to get home and dive into renovations. She is 134 years old- full of old woodwork and character that needs to be brought back to life, so we have never been short on projects!

6 months in to the renovations and we are putting finishing touches on the main floor before diving into the undertaking that is the upstairs. We worked every spare minute we had before moving in this October. The days got very long and we had to lean pretty hard on each other when we were tired and frustrated but there is nothing cooler than knowing this place is ours and WE made it that way! Stay tuned for some before and afters and little updates along the way! :)
