4 tips for a successful engagement session
Engagement photos are such a fun step in the wedding planning process. But I believe they should be taken one step further than just making pretty photos for a save the date. You never want to forget the excitement that surrounds these days- here are some tips to make them count!
Choose a location that means something to you
Choose a spot where you love to spend a date night- heck have the date during your photos! If you are an outdoorsy couple, don’t choose a downtown location because you think the photos would be pretty. The more personalized you can make the details the more special the photos will be to you!
2. Do something to get the feels going before your session
Grab a drink to chat and loosen up before or just spend some dedicated quality time that day! I also love the idea of writing letters to read to each other before or during your session- something to think about while you stare into eachothers eyes for an hour of shooting. ;)
3. Pickout outfits that are comfortable!
Self explanatory- you don’t want to feel out of place or like you cant move during your session! Bonus point for flowy clothing that creates movement as you run,twirl, dance, etc!
4. Take the pressure off and hangout
I gotchu! I will guide you the whole way but take the pressure off and be together. The best thing you can do is have fun- it will shine through the photos!
